The COPA Coca-Cola provincial finals kicks off this Sunday with teams from North Eastern and Eastern (B) provinces set to battle for a place in the national finals.

In Eastern Province (B), two teams will face each other in the quarter finals with the winners proceeding to the semi-finals and finals respectively.

Taqwa ACD will clash with Burieuri in one of the quarter final matches with the winner meeting either Chogoria Boys or Kagumori in the semis. The other quarter final match will be between Isiolo Boys and Kibirichia and the winner of this match will square off with either St Daniels or Kamiu Secondary in the other semi final. Teams that win their semi-final matches will then battle in the final with the winner earning the right to represent the province in next month’s national finals.

This format will also be at play in the girls’ games which will see Isiolo Girls face Gikumene girls, St Mary’s battle with Ntunene Girls, Chogoria with Kagumori and Ikuu girls try to reign supreme over Kangaru girls.

In North Eastern Province, the four teams, Waberi, Young Muslim, Ainul Kamar, and Alfarauq Tech will all face each other in round robin matches with the team that garners the most number of points booking their place in the August national finals.
