English Premier League 2012-13 Fixtures

The 2012-13 English Premier League fixtures have been released. The opening day of the season will see champions Manchester City start their title defence against promoted side Southampton at the Etihad stadium on August 18. Last season’s runners-up Manchester United will travel to Merseyside to meet Everton as Arsenal welcome Sunderland at the Emirates.

New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will make the trip to the Hawthorns to face Steve Clarke’s West Bromwich Albion. Until Rodgers was appointed manager at the L4 club, Clarke worked under Kenny Dalglish as assistant coach but resigned following Dalglish’s sacking.

The other fixtures on the opening weekend will be Wigan Athletic against champions league winners Chelsea, while it will be fourth against fifth as Newcastle United face Tottenham Hotspur at the St. James’ Park. Fulham welcome Norwich City at Craven Cottage while Aston Villa will travel to London to face Sam Alladyce’s promoted side West Ham.

Swansea will begin their life in the premier league without Brendan Rodgers away to Queens Park Rangers as Stoke City visit Madjeski Stadium to face another promoted side Reading.

The season begins on 18 August 2012 and ends on 19 May 2013.
