third with 9 votes.

KBC’s Vereso Mwanga needed a run off to beat off the
challenge of Eric Ochieng’ from the Standard in the fiercely contested
Organizing Secretary position. With no less than 5 candidates having their
names on the ballot including Goal.com’s Dennis Mabuka, photographer Fredrick
Omondi and Robert Kiptoo, the race boiled down to Eric and Vereso who received 24

It was the lady who emerged triumphant in the second round receiving
33 votes to Eric’s 15. Evelyn Wata was elected unopposed for the Treasurer
position and so were Torome Tirike, Rebecca Gichana and Idris Situma who were
unchallenged for the Committee Members position.
